The AgAID Institute aims to build and foster partnerships between AI and Ag communities and create a transdisciplinary ecosystem for technology innovation and knowledge transfer. Are you an undergraduate student looking for a cool research opportunity that will allow you to work at the interface of cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and agricultural applications? We’re looking for students interested in developing or applying AI tools for improved water resource modeling, improved decision-making on farms, creative robotics solutions for agricultural automation, and investigating how to take the latest AI tools and algorithmic principles and put them into practice to solve real-world, challenging tasks
Program Benefits
- Unique 8-week Research Experience (June 9 – August 1, 2025)
- $5,500 stipend
- Travel and Housing support are available
- If relocating, one round-trip flight to the internship destination (including one checked bag) will be paid for.
- Reasonable gas expenses if traveling to the internship site will be reimbursed.
- If staying in campus housing at the internship site (e.g., dorms in OSU, Pullman, or Prosser), dorms will be paid for.
- If staying in a rental unit, up to $800 in support can be reimbursed. Please discuss this with the Internship Manager.
- Career development and mentoring, plus build your science communication skills
- Work on your own research project as part of a collaborative team of graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, staff, and faculty.

- One or two will be remote internships
Who should apply:
This internship accepts applications from rising juniors, seniors, and outstanding sophomores who would enjoy working on interdisciplinary projects with leading experts in computer science and agriculture and are majoring in at least one of computer science/engineering, agricultural, biological, electrical engineering, crop science, life sciences, or other related areas at a US-based institution. Students interested in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, data science, sensor and drone deployment, and/or specialty crop agriculture are strongly encouraged to apply.
