Creating an AI-ready and Ag-aware workforce is one of the core goals in training for the AgAID Institute. This includes training current workforce in agriculture to achieve higher levels of competency in AI and technology. It also includes creating new bridges between researchers, educators, and key Ag and technology providers to result in an environment that would lead to collaborative knowledge production and sharing.
To realize these goals, the AgAID team is engaged in conducting three major sets of activities: 1) Organize learning circles with participants from diverse backgrounds to co-develop inclusive and responsible AI tools that build understanding and trust in AI for Ag operations. 2) Enable feedback and accelerate adoption through an early adopters’ network. 3) Provide training, certifications and tool tech demos to further increase AI competency in the Ag workforce and amplify adoption.
